So what are the actual performance gains for a procharger vs. M112? and which one is more compatible? ie, injectors, Ud pullies, cams, etc...

I do agree. The only heat problems have come to those who short cut and don't do things right with the M112.

As for which is 'better'... it depends on the use. If a Procharger or Vortech would have performed like the M112 does where I need it to, then don't you think I would have just bought on off the self?

M112 is a great blower for low/medium RPM power. It's tq curve is flat, and comes on very quickly. Does is need cooling? Not for the basic street use. Most owners are putting them on otherwise stock motors and won't be pushing the blower hard enough to make the heat people associate with positive displacement blowers. Only real down side is the over all height of the set up.

Centri blowers make the power med and high RPM range. Good for the second half of the 1/4 mile, and those drivers who chose to run the RPMs very high/red line alot. (Personally, my car is below 3500 RPM 96% of the time, so I want my power there. My car's weak power was getting out of the corners quick enough, so I wanted a positive displacement blower.) Think about that for a bit when looking into a blower. How much time do you spend at 3500 or more RPM?

ProChargers I love. Great quality, nice IC set ups come in the kit, and they are easy to install.

Vortech has been around for years, and also have some good stuff. I'd never run one personally. The install is a bit harder than the ProCharger, and they can be more pricey.

From what I was seeing Procharger will give you more horse power but m112 will give you more torque

+1 for the M112 rarity factor, Any one can drop the cash for a supercharger/turbo from a big name company. But only a few can say they have the custom made plate and installed M112 supercharger on their mustang.

And you can't beat the price

Actually, when looking at entry level vs entry level set ups, the M112 gives more hp and tq with less boost and less cost than both ProCharger and Vortech.

To the OP... It gives too much power to use a stock M112 pulley on a stock 3.8.... This is obviously why ppl use UDPs.

A ProCharger is a supercharger...
