Mercon is ATF & also PSF (power steering).
If you want better spec go for the Redline or Royal Purple synthetics. Theoretically they have designed just the right friction modifiers to spin up the synchro clutches for a smoother gearshift. But really doubt if it's neccessary with this gearbox.
