Acetone in Gas Tank?
#3
There are no truly good additives that are safe for anything other than old cast iron carburated engines, they will just eat your injectors/valve seats/heads/ etc. In fact they can be so dangerous if not mixed properly, I will not list them here.

acetone is a short chain highly volitile low energy content hydrocarbon. it would be impossible for it to increase mileage cause it has less energy/molecule than light gasoline.
adding mothballs to your tank can help alittle for antiping but since naptha sublimes it doesn't mix well with liquid gasoline. only a small percentage will mix with the gas and the rest will escape when you open the gas cap again

I'm about to run a couple quarts of ATF through my engine. I wanna do a really good flush. I just hate having to buy a million quarts of oil and a hundred cases of filters to flush it out lol.
Worked great when I did it to my parents old farm truck suburban. That thing blew smoke like you couldn;t believe from it all seeping past the rings, but once it was all cleaned out and flushed good, it ran like a champ, even at over 200k
