it wont- it is a FILTER meaning it will not bring any contaminants in. just clean the filter every 5-10k miles. i routed my CAI with duct tubing to my fog lights on my 99 v6 for a "ram air" effect and colder, denser air that comes from outsid ethe vehicle, not fender, nor engine compartment.

^ That's a good idea man!

I have an EBAY CAI on the way, just because it's only a 6 banger and I don't want to put a heck of a lot of money into a CAI for it. I'm saving for an exhaust too, so I don't want to spend much on small little mods like the CAI.

taht wont happen in our cars the wheel well is blocking the filter form the elements. thats only in sum imports because they have the filter jus in the bottom of the engine bay and its literally 4 inches form the road. u need not worry my friend.

I think you'd have to be in quite a storm to suck up any water.. or drive through some really deep water that you probably wouldn't want to take your car through anyways.
