How the Ford dealership does it is they shut off the fuel from the tank, put fuel and injector cleaner in an air pressurized canister, and run the car off that through the schader valve. I know it works because I have seen the crap come out the exhaust. The in tank stuff only work as part of a maintenence program to keep injectors clean. I have never seen in tank injector cleaner that will solve the problems of injectors not firing due to clogging. Remember also that the $125 includes labor at 65-75 an hour.<edited><editID>Glengemen</editID><editDate>37984.9110069444</editDate></edited>

Did you check the motor and tranny mounts?

all right, i went and had the injectors cleaned by my mechanic...ford was going to charge too much to do the same stuff...and my mechanic was throwing in some double plats sparks to replace the ones that might have been fouled out for free. the engine still rocked a little after the treatment....but after a few start ups...it ran smoothly. but that was just yesterday. we'll see if this will keep up. i'll keep you guys posted on the progress after a few more days. i expect it to rock some more this morning...as for some reason...a cold start does that. but i hope the problem has been ultimately alleviated for the time being.

I replaced my fuel filter with a motorcraft one the other day. The car seems to be smoother now. Haven't really drove it far yet to see if it keeps up right but we will see. Everythingmost likely wasorigional in the car so im assuming the fuel filter was too. How hard is it to keep up on maintainence!!!</P>
