Default New Spring Isolators

Hello everybody...I'm technically a newbie, but I've been checking out this site for awhile. Anyway, are new spring isolators really needed when changing from stock springs to lowering springs? Thanks.

All they really do is prevent metal on metal contact with the springs. If you remove them you will get a little bit more of a drop.
