help with next mod
Not a bad mod to do if you can do all the work yourself. I'm not sure if SSM still sells the full conversion kit, but if you, look on ebay and hit up some junk yards for the following:
99-04 Upper/Lower Intake w/TB
99-04 Heads
99-04 Coil Pack & Harness
Then you'll also need:
99-04 Spark Plugs
99-04 Spark Plug Wires
99-04 Head Bolts (do not reuse stock)
99-04 Lower Intake Bolts (try not to reuse stock)
99-04 Head Gaskets
99-04 Lower Intake to Head Gaskets
99-04 Upper to Lower Intake Gasket
99-04 TB Gasket
That's all I can think of, but while you have the heads and intake out, might as well port them for maximum power. Also, if you have to pull heads out of a junk yard, or buy used online, make sure you have a machine shop refinish them, if they're not 100% flat along the bottom/refinished they will not seal properly and could/will cause a head gasket failure.

i'll be doing all the work myself, ssm is selling me the split port swap kit but i need to get the heads and intakes on my own since i don't have a core to send him back and he said he cant spare any, as for the porting i have a friend that does it so im going to have him do it for me
any more advice before i go ahead with this? itll be a month or so before i get started but just trying to get my research done now
