Any 99-04 FRPP driveshaft works, autos just have to reuse the front yoke from the stock driveshaft. I got mine used.

all the $$$ you're pumping into mods to save a dollar here and there isnt worth it... is it really worth it to you??? It's not like you're going to go from 16-18 MPG to 30 MPG ... try driving 60 MPH all the time with your windows down...its simple

I agree, you're dumping a lot of money into a car to get maybe a two mpg boost "AT BEST" for which it will take a long time to get your money back on. You've already done all the basics, about the only thing left to do would be to lighten the car, but then again, without going to the extremes, it's hard to shed enough weight to truely make a difference.

How am I blowing my money? I've gotten a decent amount of power and MPG's with all my current mods. I think a driveshaft is another excellent addition. Hardly a waste of money for all those mods. You're getting a great combo of performance and economy with those.

Wouldn't the windows being down increase drag, thus lowering you mpg?

Technically any mod that frees up airflow, in/out the engine, will allow for more MPG (till a certain point) because the engine is working less harder to make that power at any given RPM, that's right, an S/C can actually improve MPG, however, the problem comes in when you romp on it, more power also equals more fuel delivery (till you reach 80% load, which means upgrading the fuel injectors and pump), which in turns means lower MPG. It's one of those things, yes you can do better, but at what cost when you have fun with your mods.

I just did a head, intake, and full fuel system upgrade on the 5.0 and I'm actually getting better MPG now, than before, key is, I fixed a lot of problems with the engine during the build, and I don't really romp on the gas that much. I'm maybe only getting 1 MPG, but if I dare romp on it, and force my car to run those rich 11s and 10s it runs in the a/f department, not to mention I have 30lb injectors, it doesn't take a genius to figure out the end results.

Control of the right foot is probably the best gas saver. I have an auto and only get around 18-19 mpg in town... I have little control.
