Default Rev Limiter

i have a 2003 mustang and i was just wondering if its bad to hit the rev limiter often. i am not sure if thats just to hard on them motor cananyone tell me? i heard it hits at 6050 is that right?

I thought stock it was 5600-5800. Mine is set at 6000 with the tuner and I have an auto so I never hit it under load. Sitting there revving your engine to the limiter in neutral/park is dumb. I think I set mine for neutral/park to 3500 or 4000... I forgot. But yeah, if you are shifting with a manual, I would say about 5800 is the right place to shift for the best pull.

Redline on the car is 5250... I forget where the stock limiter is set but you don't make power past redline anyway on a stock motor.

To put it shortly, yes it could be bad, especially if the valves start floating.
