A few question Regarding Tune Up
So im doing a huge tune up this weekend and have a few questions on some parts i need to replace/clean. (Hopefully someone can help me out, even direct me to a link that would be sweet) First of all how to clean the MAF. I need to cleaner spray obviously and take out the air intake, but do i just spray it into the MAF or disconnect it first then spray it, also how far away to i spray it into?? Last question to replace a gas filter what tools do i need and where is it located.?? should i let a pro do it, or is it a do it yourself job.
Thanks V6 MF's

Fuel filter should be done every 12k miles. It's easy but you'll need a fuel clip tool to get it off, it's under the car, in front of the gas tank above the rear axle.
1. Fuel filter
2. Air filter
3. oil & filter
4. Coolant flush
5. Tranny fluid, don't get a flush jsut change the fluid, and the filter if its an auto
6. power steering flush - do this at a shop
7. brake fluid flush - do this at a shop also
8. Seafoam your intake, and pour half a bottle of seafoam into your freshly changed oil.
9. Plugs and wires if you haven't done it yet. Just go with motorcraft and you'll be all good
Another thing you can check is your shocks and struts. The easiest way to tell if they are bad is to look at them. If there is anything that looks wet on them, then they are leaking and need to be replaced. Another way is to go to each corner of the car and push down with enough force to compress the suspension, but not dent the panel. Push down, the car should come right back up and stop, it should NOT bounce at all.
Another thing to do is to pop off the front wheels and check your hubs for wear or any play. The hubs should spin very smoothly, if there is any grinding or if the hub moves in and out then it needs to be replaced immediately. While the wheels are off go ahead and check you ball joints and tie rod end links for torn boots or damage.
If you have time take those rear wheels off and look for leaks around the axle seals, and then check the pinion flange and diff cover for any leaks.
Another thing to do when you're under the car is to look at the front of the oil pan for any oil. There will some residue from the front main seal, and that's normal. If your pan hasn't been cleaned in a while then it will be a little worse, maybe even look like a leak. Just get it clean and inspect it again on your next oil change and always clean the pan at the oil change.

To clean the MAF you need to go to Home Depot and get some contact cleaner in electrical. I will be down the main hard electrical aisle that has the wall plates, extension cords, outlets, etc. It will be in or near the bay with the wire nuts. Take the contact cleaner and spray it on a cue tip, then use a cue tip to "carefully" clean the sensor inside the sampling tube. Don't spray it directly on the sensor, some people do, but soaking the cue tip to clean it, then using the dry side to finish things up is more than enough. Again, work carefully, don't rush, and don't force the cue tip on the sensor, just touch and go.

The special tool required to remove the gas filter what size it is i ask because they had so many sizes at the auto zone, and how to I apply the seafoam in my intake?? to I just pore the thing in there.
You can buy a set of the fuel line tools for like $12, they're little white round things, about 7 of them on a black plastic holder.
You have to pull a vacuum line to put the seafoam in the intake. Just buy a 4' piece of vacuum line and connect it where you disconnected the other one, and take you time letting the vacuum suck it in. It'll want to die and make some crazy sounds, but just pull the hose out of the seafoam so it can catch it's breath. A lot of smoke will come out of the exhaust so don't worry.

Also you might want to top of the charge on your A/C system, Wal-Mart sells nice kits for that.
Check all your bushings and suspension too for any bad wear or missing and broken parts. Just do a general check-list of what looks like might need to be replaced.
