Default Alternator Removal

I have looked all over the internet for this, and just cannot figure out an answer.
I have a 1994 Mustang V6 Automatic.

I am attempting to remove the alternator so I can have it tested. But that is not the problem, my problem lies in the tensioner. I do not understand how to release the tensioner so that is raises and releases tension on the drive belt.

How do I do this? What bolt am I looking for? Provide a picture if possible?

I understand that I could basically 'pry' it up with a crowbar of the like, but I want to do it the proper way. It is a 94 and the engine has been neglected so some bolts are seized, anyway to unseize them?

Thanks,
David

WD40.

Just put a socket on the nut and pull the tension out of the belt.

lol, Yea but what nut? What size should the nut be? And I have put all my muscle into the nut that is on the tensioner and it does not move. Perhaps a picture with an arrow indicating exactly what nut your talking about would help?

Thanks,
David

Don't take the nut off the pulley. Pull the whole tensioner with the ratchet. Just lube the hell out of the whole assembly.

Correct.... use a breaker bar if you have one.
