Default Blown Shock?

Whenever I go over bumps or push down on the front passenger side fender it makes a squeaking sound as if there is a blown shock? that's what i am guessing. If so it's time to upgrade but id rather spend the least as possible. Anyone have any suggestions?

Does it squeak when you turn the wheel? It could be a bad ball joint. I had the same problem and change my ball joints this morning and no more squeak.

Yes! but i figured that was either the PS pump or the serpentine belt that needed replacing? The squeak is terrible.. lol

Hmm... called a mechanic and he said i should come in for a check, they would put the car on a lift and see if theres any play on the front end. It could be a number of things from the ball joints to the steering rack. Guess I'll have it checked first, but that will be in about a week so i will let you guys know whats up. im sure other people have had this problem.

Shocks and ball joints don't generally squeak when they go bad. They can, but not generally.

Disconnect your sway bar and see if the noise goes away. If it does, grease the bushings with synthetic grease and put it back together.

If it is your ball joint that is bad make sure you get one that you can grease. Both of mine were shot and I can actually grease something on my car now
