well if you take a closer look under your seat, look by the seat belt thing and you will see a wire there, and also a clip that you can undo. and wallah the seat belt chime is gone. just FYI its a pain in the *** to get to and undo. but well worth it if you sit in your car listening to the stereo often without the car running. just remember to put your seat belt on while driving

Page 73 of the 2000 owners manual tells you how to turn off the seat belt reminder chime.
