so i got a wrecked mustang for 600 bucks. and i have been getting parts from it and putting it on mine.. we decided to do that with the engine too.. Do you think i will need to change anything or have problems with anything like the wiring harness ?
Also pm if you are looking for parts from an 02 mustang i have some left..
i can also trade so pm me with what you have

The 99+ have a returnless fuel system. The wiring harness is different. You will need to do some custom work to the fuel rail for it to fit. It is not a terribly hard swap to do since it is the same engine, just a couple of differences. Definitely worth the power upgrade though.

A 96-98 windstar fuel rail will work fine as a return style splitport fuel rail.
You will also need a 99/00 lower non-imrc intake manifold.
If you have the complete car I would just swap the whole thing over to the 2002, brakes, fuel lines, wiring, everything. Make it a 2002 in a 96 body.
