2001 v6 and my hood cable broke and i cant open it...anyone know how to open it from the outside...

where is the cable broken? If its right at the handle you can take a pair of pliers and pull on it.

 

did the cable break or just the handle? because if it's just the handle, use some vise-grips to pull on it

 

This^. If it's broken at the handle but the cable is still able to be seen, you can put some vise-grips on it and pull it that way. If it's broken under the hood, good luck! My old metro release broke under the hood one time, the same day I left my lights on and ran the battery dead. What a mess....
