A properly tuned and properly turboed v6 can make modded termi owners cry pretty bad, I think it's gonna be fun, but don't forget about upgrading that tranny and rear end or it won't be going fast for long.

OP I see you did not get the block upgrade, any reason behind this?
Nope, not shananigans at all. This is a very true story. Happened at the Speedworld Dragstrip down here. Car was a red S197 S/C v6. He was only running low 14s which is what I as running.

My only mods at the time were 4.10s, electric fan, Mac Exhaust with stock headers, and smog delete. We were pretty much dead even with him pulling maybe about a few feet on me.

Yeah, seriously. Last time I checked July 2009 was about a month ago. Even if you joined July 1st, that's a maximum of 45 days you've been a member.

So yeah, seriously.
I really don't see what my time on the this site has to do with anything. I just found the thread. I've been on Corral for years though.

The fact that you listed the electric fan as a mod says it all. You didn't beat a supercharged S197 with 4.10's and mac exhaust in a stock fox. NOT EVEN MAYBE. Low 14's, you mean 15's right?

+2 If he wants to throw a bunch of money at his car and not really know whats going on, its his fault. We should be telling him what to do with what he has/ how he can get the most out of everything.

The built 4.2/3 motor he has is a awesome starting point. I personally would have built it myself for the learning experience, but other people dont have the time/patience/knowledge to do such a thing. I dont really know much about building a strong motor but I have the ability to learn and it intrigues me.

Fearthisinc: My next suggestion would be to get find a 8.8" differential, it doesnt have to be a complete diff, just the housing will do. Upgrade the gears and LSD, put some stronger axles in it and you will be set for the rear end of the car.

Have you thought of/bought anything that will improve the stopping power of the car?

No. My car is running low 14s with just those mods listed on street tires. I was going to show you a timeslip but I guess I threw them away when I cleaned out my desk.

Any in AZ that have seen me at Speedworld here?

People here run high 13's with just gears and exhaust, so I don't see how this is impossible.
