Default Instrument Cluster issues

My 2000 V6 instrament cluster has a weird problem. If you were to disect it vertically in the middle, the right side gauges and lights work fine, but the left side does not. So I know my temp, tach, and such but not how much fuel or how fast I am going, fun yes:-)

What should I look for as the reasons to this. It worked intermittedly for awhile, sometimes part of the day, now though it never springs to life. Loose wiring? Bad fuse? or what, and where would I look. Thank you:-)

Its not that the side won't light up, the whole left side won't work. Needles won't move, zilch. There was a day a few weeks ago where they came back on for a second, but that's it. That's why I think its a wiring issue but not sure. If I were to take the cluster out what would I have to look for/test to see?

Do you happen to know where the fuses are for the instrument panel?

Fuses for my 2002 are located under the drivers dash, above the dead pedal, might be a black cover on them. Your owners manual has the fuse locations, (make sure its fusebox not power supply, two different boxes). You could try changing the fuses but most likley its a wiring problem. New gague clusters run about $250-300 so before buying one take out the old and see if there is an obvious problem.

It's not a fuse, it's something in the panel. Pop the cluster out and take a look at it. Cluster can fail, and you just may have had that very thing occur unfortunately.
