v6 throtle problems???

Question v6 throtle problems???

I was wondering if anyone could help i have a 96 mustang with a v6 and the engine idels good but wont rev up when you give it throttle the throtle cable is good and is opening the throttle body it has around 38 psi on the fuel rail if you spray gas into the air tub it will rev up THANKS

check your throttle position sensor and and your idle air control

yea i just did my iac [idle air control] but that should only mess with your idle not your rev up

if its not reading the right voltage it could mess with reving the motor but i would check voltage across both sensors its probably the TPS

Thanks for your help the guy i bought the car from wasnt honest about how well it idled. i picked the car up Sat morning it ran real rough and backfired through the throttle body so i figured timing. it was something i never saw before but the damper was broke off right where the key way stoped on the crank. the damper still turned but it was about a 1/4 inch off from where it should of been. put on a new damper and front seal and it runs great. would of been nice to know the other simptoms before i wrote in Sorry Thanks for the info

Whats the best way to clean iac? And exactly where is it located?

it is located here

and the best was to clean it is to replace it cuz if it is fowling up now it will do it again even if u clean it. 75 bucks total from ford with a new gasket which you have to order seperate
