Default Need help, trying to buy an used Mustang

Hello,

My name is SGT Betancourt, I'm in the Army & I'm stationed in Fort Stewart, GA. Somebody is selling me a 2003 Ford Mustang V6 with 128K Miles for $5000. Car includes new tires, brand new brakes & rotors, PS2 system with screen, Panasonic CD player with kicker amp & Kicker Solobaric L7 in a pro box, hood with hood scoop, new headlights, it has a CAI & magnaglow dual exhaust, real clean interior, the interior was immaculate, I was shocked at how clean it was. I took it to autozone & they scanned with the OBC2 reader & it came up as O2 sensor so he wasn't lying. Car is very clean & engine bay looks great.

The bad:
Driver hit deer & bumper needs replaced
O2 sensor is bad

Is this a good deal for $5K or should I keep looking? I thought it was a good deal but wanted to see here 1st. If somebody could do me a huge favor & check the VIN for me here it is: 1FAFP40493F450916.

The other car is a 2002 Mustang GT with 67K miles, leather, Mach 1 system, Bullit rims, new tires, etc. for $7500. Which would you guys choose? Thanks, I greatly appreciate it.

Take both of them for a drive. I personally don't care much about interior mods/audio systems. Kind of sucks that the one car needs some work done to it because it's less of a headache to just get a car that doesn't need work done to it.

I'd go with the GT. The other car doesn't seem like a bad deal, though, especially with those extras on there.

i would go with the gt. If you get the six you kick yourself later unless you want to slap an m112 kit on it and make 300 + hp/tq

You know, there are other routes than an M112 lol. But yeah I love my six, but if I had the option to get the GT at the same time I would have gotten it.

The only interior mod I care about is usually audio systems, music is very important to me. I do hate the fact of getting a car & working on it but they're minor things that I can get done at home though. 130K miles for an 03 seems like a lot though, I'll test drive the GT & that will help me decide. Would be nice if somebody ran that VIN for me incase I did want to get the V6 instead. Thanks guys & HAPPY HOLIDAYS !!!

Damn, I went to look at that GT & the exterior was pretty bad so I didn't buy it. Arggg, this sucks. I might get that V6 since my wife needs a car.

Definitely too much for the v6 with those miles, the GT is within price range but a little over priced for my area, location varies.

He installed slotted rotors & brand new brakes which cost him like $800, brand new tires. Is it that bad of a deal? Its hard finding decent cars in military towns & this one looks good. He's the original owner & he has taken care of it but if you guys think its too much then ill keep looking. I'm tired of driving 2-3 hours to see what looks like a good condition car & its some pos, you guys know what I mean?
