Its not gonna hurt the brakes if you do it every now and then. it might leave some hot spots but those arent a real big deal. the only way it will really hurt your brakes is if you do it all the time in which case that will not only burn up your tires but screw up your rear end to. but doing it every now and then really isnt going to do any damage.

Sorry for the offtop but, does anyone know how to burn out on automatic?
you need to bring the transmision down into first gear manually by pulling the shifter down into first. apply the breaks with your left foot just enough to keep the vehicle from moving, with your right foot start to depress the gas, once they start spinning adjust the breaks to keep it from moving then let off. if you are doing it at a stop sign and taking a turn be careful cause you will fishtail. also as you are accelerating remember to shift the transmision back into drive after the wheels have stopped spinning.

no the brakes aren't really affected ya they grab somewhat but not enough to affect the spinning of the rear wheels. The only car i've driven that was an automatic is my mom's Grand Marque and it will do some crazy burnouts but only with the brake...

Thanks, I feel so alive now that I reached 1,000....

Honestly I didn't even notice that I was on 1,000.

I saw that he had been here for awhile. I just don't understand why he would dig up this post since everyone that originally posted under it is now gone or doesn't even remember this thread.[&:]

you have to turn trac control off, push the brake pedal and mash the gas.. seems to work for mine.
