Default Spark Plug Problems

Hey everyone,
first time post.
I have done some searching and haven't really come across an issue that is similar to mine so here it goes.
I recently bought a 2000 v6 with 97,000 miles. I had it checked out by my mechanic to see if there were any problems soon arising and a slight misfire was one of these problems which i had noticed at idle. So I proceeded to change my plugs. I put in NGK TR55's after seeing a few good posts about it. I didn't do wires right away because I had to have them ordered. For the day that i drove around with the new TR55's the idle issue went away but i completely lost low end torque. When i pressed the gas it would chug and eventually gain some power but not full power at around 3000 rpm. I expected this somewhat do to the fact that I hadn't changed the wires but after installing my new wires today, the problem got worse. On my test drive to see how the car was running, the car almost didn't start, and had no power at all. I pressed the gas and the car would hardly move. I checked to make sure i put the plugs back on right and they were correct.
Can anyone help because this really sucks.

did you check the plug gaps before you put them in? did you wire up the wires to the right plugs?

Just regular TR5's, as opposed to the 55's would be good. Ford or MSD wires will be your best bet. Check your wire connections and make sure they are tight.

I use stadanrd copper core Autolites in just about everything I Drive/ride. Inexpensive, and never a problem.

I checked the gaps and they were perfect. and I did it plug by plug so there was no way i could have switched wires by accident and I even triple checked to make sure. and everything seems to be tight. im going to recheck my plugs and make sure i have the right torque settings on them. but if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to help.
thank you

You may also jsut have a bad coil pack, they're known to last about 100k+ but sometimes fail sooner, although it is rare.

i thought that the coil pack might have gone bad, but would it really just stop working even if the car was running allmost normal on friday before i changed the plugs?

that's how they fail, it's very intermittent, so it's sometimes hard to diagnose. If you buy a new one get the motorcraft one, trust me.

i redid my plugs and wires again today to make sure everything was done correctly and the are perfect, i started the car up and started taking it out for a test drive when i noticed it was driving better than the last time i test drove it but exactly the same as when i first changed the plugs(it bogs out and chugs between 700-2500 rpms and then gains more power) but on the other hand i had a friend come over and upon starting the car he could smell fuel. so he was also thinking maybe leaky injectors or fuel filter. i asked a few other people that i know if this bogging could be caused by a fuel issue and everyone says fuel filter or injectors. so is there even still a chance that it has anything to do with the plugs and wires? and is the coil pack still an issue i should consider?

i also forgot to mention that when i removed my new plugs and inspected them that they had carbon buildup on them after only having them on for less than a half hour of driving. after reading up on this carbon buildup and realizing that the air fuel mixture being to rich could be the cause to my bogging, it started to make me think that there is a problem with the injectors.
