hey yall im runnin a spec stage 2 clutch steeda cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster and have been having nothing but problems with this set up . first go around the prssure plate was too tight and took out the thrust bearing . got that fixed now im having problems again this time the lining came out of the cable and bound up the cable and damn near broke the trans and did break the pedal assembly. it BROKE THE SHAFT AND QUADRANT RIGHT OFF THE PEDALS! now im pissed.

i fixed the pedal and am running a stock cable and steeda quadrant and the clutch is too tight its got absolutely no toe play . should i just run a steeda clutch with no firewall adjuster .

opinions are needed and welcomed . im tired of having problems with this junk

 

Ive never had a problem with steeda's cable, adjuster or quadrant on 3 clutches. However I had a boat load of problems with Spec.. Went to some shops and they told me Spec is a hit and miss.

 

I've heard a few horror story's myself about Spec. Go with a Ram setup.

 

i dunno if the pressureplate is just too damn stiff or wat cuz ive broken 2 steeda cables a pedal assemble and a motor with this clutch in the car . the first cable broke and the second cable the lining came out of it. i havve no idea but its getting annoying as al hell n get out that this kinda stuff keeps happening
