Default Installing BBK Headers

Bought some new BBK headers for my 1999 V6.

Managed to get everything unbolted, but danged if I can get the passenger side out, nor can I get the new drivers side header in.

Anyone else done this that has some advice on how to get this done.

Dont know about the 6 cyl but putting those headers on my car was a bit** (anyways thats what the mechanic said). Man if you have not bought aftermarket gaskets for your headers stop what you're doing in order some.. BBK gaskets are crap.. Within two weeks I had to pay the mechaninc another 200 bucks to take out the bbk gaskets and put a better brand in.. I was pissed.. You have been warned..

I believe you have to take the passenger side header out from the bottom. I cant remember tho, its been a year since Ive had stock headers.

So you bought stock headers FROM BBK to replace your stock headers. I would stop wher you are, reinstall the stockers, sell the BBK's and wait to get some LT's.

LOL, this.

And you don't need gaskets, you can re-use the metal gaskets the 3.8 comes with.

No they are not stock headers they are the BBK shorty headers, and I'm not that concerned with the power or sound. Just trying to replace the cracked stock headers to stop the stink and noise.

^ and the BBK are expensive...it would be cheaper to get a set of 96-98 v6 mustang headers and put them in.
