Pretty sure the RCA plugs ON the harness are for the Mach460 stock Amps.

I think you have the wrong harness. I used a different one... there are several harnesses you can get but ill show you the one i used; it didnt have any RCA plugs. So far this is the only picture i have. Im trying to find the right wiring harness on google.

I was stumped on my install a while ago, but its imperative you connect the blue wires together, basically thats your power to the speakers. If i remember correctly with the blue wires d/c the deck turned on but no audio came out of the speakers. The 6 prong connectors are basically just audio channels. The fat connector is just for power i & ant. etc... But this is for my 00' mustang, 02' may differ. Id refer to a Haynes manual.

You have a 2000 mustang, it MIGHT be different than the later models.
I have an 01 and my harness was 2 plugs, 1 of which had the 2 RCA plugs. I could be wrong about the mustang year difference though.

And as to why the plugs wont fit, thats pretty weird. You sure theyre the correct plugs your trying to plug into? Some pictures might be a little more helpful that way we can see exactly what you got going on there lol

Its Dave onlines picture is the same one as mine; I have a 99 and he has a 00. I think after 2000 they made the double din stereos only so the harness must be completely different. Like I said before you have to wire the blue wire or else the speakers won't work. You havn't even told us anything about what kind of stereo system you have yet too. Do you have 4 speakers or do you have the MACH system which I think has the tweeters on the door panel.
