+1 on that massive mods list costing a pretty penny.

i also agree on not painting interior peices. something about it just looks real cheesy to me.

btw...im just curious, so don't take this the wrong way. how old are you?

Yeah actually about 16K after discounts because I work at a shop I get my Tune/Install free..Most of the engine parts I can get at a discount or even fre..Plus I make 12 an hour which for a 16 year old is kick *** I think so at least..And to me this is not a waste of money..Its a Hobby..and don't get started trying to change my mind because this is set in stone..I already have about 10K to spend form money I have saved and birthdays/Christmas and other things..I know I can do this and I will do this..

Dude, listen to people older/wiser than you. We understand it's a hobby, but really, it's a waste of money. Use the financial leverage you have right now in life and safe up to pay for college. Then once you have that ready, save up and buy you a new car or something. Don't blow every penny you have on an old car, take it from somebody that's been there and done that, its NOT WORTH IT!!! Every day I walk outside and see Selena (my 95 5.0) I almost cry because I think of all the money I've WASTED on that car. Yes, it makes 400 rwhp, yes I've won trophies with that car at shows, but what did I get out of it, short thrills, and a lighter pocket book. The money I spent on that car alone I could have fully bought a brand new Mustang GT fully optioned out, or have a nearly paid off Shelby GT-500.

Remember, you can spend 10/20/30K on a car, but in the in, it's only worth what NADA, or Kelly Blue Book says it is, and that's the part that hurts the worst. I'm stuck with a car I really don't want, yet can't sell to get any real money back out of it.

Just listen to us is all I ask, cause at 16 its so easy to make a horrible/huge financial mistake, and I assure you, that car would be one of them.

I already have more than enough money for college and housing during college..I have a savings bond that I get when I turn 25 for I think its 175,000 so that will be a house..I know this is a lot of money but to me IT IS NOT A WASTE..For a lot of people..Yes it would be but for me its not.

$16K on that mod list? You need to rethink your plan.

For $16K you can build a V6 that runs 9's all day long.

^ I don't really get your post..With Discounts and such the mechanical aspect of that list is 16K I already have a few things..And the rest of the stuff is just for looks..Which I just want I do not need it but want it..And isn't that the point to run 9's?

lol @moronara do a couple little small things to the car like exhaust/intake tune gears (btw 3.55s you cant get for a 7.5), maybe some small exterior things, and save the rest, thats a lot of money, if you do do all it i will say you would need to get the car appraised so you dont get fcked if the car gets totaled stolen, but its only worth blue book at trade in

fck that i could think of about 10 things i could do with 16k, a house or a 379 peterbilt would be the first two.

Stage 1
Dual Exhaust (2.25" for Naturally Aspirated Cars and 2.5" for Blown Cars and some big NA strokers)
Rear End Gears & Traction-Lok (3.73 for Manual & 4.10 for Automatic)
Cold Air Intake
Underdrive Pullies
Short Throw Shifter (5-Speed) or Shift Kit (Automatic)

Stage 2
Torque Converter (Automatics)
Suspension Upgrade (Lowering Springs, Shocks & Struts, Rear Sway Bar and Strut Tower Brace).
Throttle Body (94-98) with crossover tube matching.
Custom Burned Chip, but most do not need this until Stage 3.

Stage 3
Ported and Polished Upper Intake, Lower Intake & Heads
Custom Ground Camshaft
Pushrods and Springs
Ignition System (Only needed if Forced Induction or Nitrous is used)
Fuel System Upgrades (190/255 lph fuel pump, bigger injectors & adjustable fuel pressure regulator)
Custom Chip necessary at this level for max power! Usually worth at least 10-15 RWHP and mucho low end torque.
i would never recomend any piping for exhaust smaller then 2.5", i had LTs, 2.5" cat back with an intake and i knocked over a full second off my quarter and gained 4mph in the trap

also NA cars/centri cars = 4.10s for manual and autos, turbo/roots = 3.45 or 3.73

a custome chip is not necessary, a dyno tune is

Might want to listen to lilroush, he's built quite a few V6, and 4.6L/5.0L Mustangs. He really knows his stuff.

A savings bond for 175,000, no offense I find that hard to believe because your parents would have to be millionaires to afford the 87,500 initial payment on the bond 10-20 years ago. Serriously, there is more to life than cars, TRUST US!!! If you have all this money, then why do you have a V6 Mustang and not a Corvette, seriously, I wasn't born yesterday, save up and do yourself a huge favor in 10 years.

Sorry I meant 75K I don't know how to change my post..And actually I think it was around 40ish years ago my Mom is almost 60 and my dad was 46 when he passed..And I don't have all of this money it was all saved up and I make 12 an hour and save up everything..And the reason I don't have something like that is because my Mom doesn't want me having anything fast since my wreak..(I USED to drive Stock Cars(Late model)and I hit a wall and flipped)
