I can fork out the $400 if I have to and its really worth it, but it's just a daily driver and I don't care THAT about the performance as long as its comfy.

Is there a way I can confrm that my current shocks are blown and that's the problem? I have only read about the bounce test and it seems to pass that, so is there another check? or is what i'm explaining pretty much proof enough? I just want to make sure I don't spend $200-$500 and NOT get the improvement I'm seeking.

Thanks again for the help, guys =)

Shocks and struts are suppose to be changed at 50k, but nobody ever does. Anything more than 100k is overkill and they need to be changed. You can see if the struts are leaking fluid, but I can almost guarantee those are the original shocks and struts. Between the bad struts, and being lowered, you need to change the ball joints.

what do you guys think about the tokico blue's? I'm looking at maybe getting those?

Also, whats involved with replacing ball joints? Easy enough to do at home by yourself? Trying to figure out what to order today so I can get it ASAP, since I'm leaving on a roadtrip a week from tomorrow.

tokico blues are great, especially on a budget, also Koni reds are pretty nice too.

yeah just check them out and see if they have a wet appearance to them. if they do, then you have some leakage

They don't have to be leaking to be bad, but if you've lowered you car on stock shocks, then they're blown by now regardless

Is there a way to
1) Tell if they are stock shocks?
2) Confirm that they are bad if they are not leaking and they don't keep bouncing?

Also, I'm thinking about changing springs to raise the car up a little to avoid bottoming out on speed bumps and dips
I went out and checked and I have Eibach Sportline springs.
Should I just change them out to Eibach Pro-Kit to get a happy medium? Or is there something else you guys would suggest?

Also, are used Eibach Sportline's going to be worth anything used to people? Think its likely I could find to sell them too, or just trade?

I personally have KYB's on my front suspension, and they where a total waste of money.. had bunches of steering probelms and tire wear, so I took it to a local alignment shop, was told the steering alignment wasnt the problem, thet struts where bad, and still are bc I cant afford high dollar sturts to replace them.
