I think I paid around $250-$300. I thought about doing it myself, but then the mechanic scared the @!%& out of me saying that if I broke a bolt I'd have to have the heads removed etc to fix it, so I paid to have it done.
Any one know if it sounds like a stuck lifter? Or a bent push rod? And what is the trick to get the pass side valve cover to slide out? It has some smoke coming out out the pass side valve like its not gettin oil. Thats y im thinking lifter.
Hmm, my brother has a '96 v6 with a sticking lifter and it sounds like that, but it's not that loud...hard to tell over the camera... does it ever go away or get quieter?
Well, i did some research. I saw they are suppose to spin. But the rocker arm closest to the fire wall keeps getting loose enough to have play and I can rattle it back and fourth.
