Alright Ive been doing some research on the subject, can anyone else put in some insight?

hmmm... acetone likes to eat away at crap so its probably bad. i dont give a sh*t about my neon, so maybe ill try it

on second thought, i dont think i will

If yall want, I will try this in my 4 cyl and let yall know what happens. If that motor goes kaboom no problem I have a couple 5.0L ready to drop in

Yeah if anyone wants to try this and report back results that would be amazing.

Just have this check list.

1. Make sure its 100% pure Acetone (NO ADDITIVES)
2. For every 10 gallons of gas mix 2oz-3oz (roughly, try different amounts on different takes and record results)

I did some more research and found out the mythbusters did this and found it is false BUT i also found out they were not using 100% acetone thats is why im still curious about this idea.

I did it for about 2 weeks...didn't notice any difference, smoother idle maybe...ans get an exrta fuller tube grommet, you'll need it.

so i did this test on an older toyota and adding accetone gave the car 2 mpg better than without....anyone else test this to confirm results?

My vehicles are too precious and reliable to do this to. If I had a old **** box from the 80's I would try it.

The facts are it WILL eat some fuel system components, and yeah you MIGHT see a slight mpg increase. . . but is it worth it? I'd say no.
