i have an 03 v6 auto, the list of mods i have is on my signature im about to do my long tube headers, but after that im wondering what to do next, i was thinking ported lower intake to go with the windstar, heads and cam( what do yall think about the cam?) and a good tune. Im not looking to go major like the 4.2 swap i wanna put some power on it just to have some fun with my daily driver and get to walmart fast LOL and maybe beat some N/A honda lawn mowers and still get some decent MPG. also what do you guys think about an aluminuim fly wheel, or a stall converter, or a shift kit? thanks for the feed back

Aluminuim flywheels are mostly for track, you can get one for a DD but it will not last as long as long. "Steel - recommended for daily drivers, aluminum flywheels tend to warp under normal, daily driving use creating clutch “chatter”. - AmericanMuscle.com. A lower P&P swap with a cam would be a good addition. Call Tom over at SSM and he will be able to talk cams with you and find what will work best with your current mods.

also to install a flywheel you must have a clutch and a manual transmission silly automatics and there hydraulic systems as for the 4.2 swap it's not a engine swap, just a new crank and maybe oil pan depending on the one you have. i THINK being a 03 you wouldn't even need to swap oil pans. and since your doing the top end might as wall go down south and get some fresh bearings and a good clean up done and make the engine run great.

i would mention something about a larger stalled converter not being good for a daily driver but a certain SOMEONE will for sure come in there and go on and on about how him and his friends all drive cars DD with big stall converters and all that.

for the cam give SSM a call they seem to be pretty good about getting you the right spec for your plans and for the love of god stay away from delk (if they are even still around).

to the aluminum flywheel i wouldn't really call it a good idea for the average daily driver but personally i like mine, engine revs up a lot quicker and can get lined up for the next gear faster with a IAC mod. and mine SO FAR hasnt gotten warped but i keep in mind that a stage 3 + aluminum can build some heat and i try to keep and clutch slippage to a minimum while in traffic because of that, along with clutch-less shifts i really only use it while racing, spirited driving or getting moving from a stop. also my experience has been that the stickier clutches just have a higher tendency to "chatter" in general because of the high friction compounds.

If you are going to spend the money for SSM heads, get the whole pkg. Heads, intakes, cam, TB all P&P to match eachother to get the most out of it.

Call Tom. He is the man when it comes to V6's. Tell him what you have (winstar) and he will tell you what is the best set up.
