Rear License plate lights?

Rear License plate lights?
So i've never looked above my license plate and turns out there are 2 lights back there ! Well there are lightbulbs.
Obviously they're not working cause i've never noticed them. I want to see if i can get them to work, and not only that, but see if i can instal little led white lights like somebody in this forum did before. I can't find that thread.
Anyone have a how-to on removing/replacing/fixing these lights?
thanks fellas

well if you just want to repair them then your first step is checking the bulbs then if its not the bulbs the fuses... if that doesnt work its a wiring issue anywhere from the lights themselves to the switch on the consol.

Very true, thanks for the heads up.
I'll get on the bulbs first. Though i'm unsure how to get them out correctly without breaking anything. There's two screws holding each of them and when i turn it, it doesn't want to loosen up. I just had time to do it for 5 minutes though, so i didn't really try hahaha
ill get on it tomorrow, unless anyone knows exactly what to do.

i had to replace mine, it is NOT those screws u see on the outside, u risk a good chance cracking the wholes trying to remove them. if you open the trunk and reach around to the back of the lights theres a socket thing that gets turned about a 1/8 of a turn and then comes straight out similar to the other light sockets on the tail lights and headlights.
