Default Clutch Replacement- Cable

I am ready to replace the clutch now and need a first hand experience opinion on where and what kind of clutch cable to get. Alot of vendors have them but I want best possible cable and a hassle free install.
I have now in waiting: MM clutch quadrant, Stack firewall adjuster, rear main seal, SPEC billet steel flywheel, SPEC stage 1 clutch kit w/bearings, Mobil1 trans fluid.
Are the cables V6 specific? Wouldn't think so but asking. Forgetting anything??
Thanks Alot!

They arent specific for the V6's so just grab up an adjustable HD cable.

You shouldnt have any problems with your quadrant because its a single claw but with the multi claws I suggest getting the shorter 96-98 Cobra cable and place it on the middle claw to avoid from cutting the cable, but again you wont have this problem.

btw, there is nothing wrong with an OEM clutch cable.

Thanks for the info. I will remember the info re the multi level quadrants. I will go to Ford and get a quote on the cable. They have been good to me with taking large percentages off the price when I cant afford something but other times (brake calipers) they are ridiculously high priced. If they want $200 or something for the cable I was going to get something HD online.
I got the brand new billet steel flywheel for $99 and the clutch kit for $50. So SPEC found me more than anything. I will keep my fingers crossed and use a torque wrench and Locktite. For no real reason I feel like its going to turn out pretty good. I have had this bad clutch for 60k+ miles and cant wait to get it out of the car.
Any websites for Ford or better made cable, let me know. Thanks again-

Yeah, Spec is a horrible company to try to get any customer service with.

They sent me a warped pressure plate for my Stage 3, my clutch guy checked it out and said for me to get a refund and that he would talk to them too.

They cursed me out on the phone (Each time I called and it was a different person) I was very calm and collected because I just wanted another pressure plate.

They said "WE DONT MAKE DEFECTIVE CLUTCHES!" and by that time just hung up on me.

I gave up and for the last 7 years or so that stupid clutch has been rusting away in the corner of my grandma's garage back in Sacramento.

I read good things about RAM clutches and gave them a call.
I explained what had happened with Spec and they gave me a discount for the trouble I had, thats pretty awesome for a company that is in direct competition with them.

RAM for life.
