Default PCV system question

Hey,
I know that I should feel noticeable suction at the PCV valve. But what about the other end (the tube coming out of the drivers side valve cover)? On my girly's 3.8L I couldn't feel any suction on the drivers side valve cover tube with the motor idling. With the car off, I also tried to blow some air (with my lungs) into the tube and the air didn't flow in. It felt like I was blowing into a clogged hose and was just building up pressure cause when I stopped blowing the air forced its way back out of the tube.

Is this normal? If not, what could be the cause and fix? Doesn't happen on my Dodge 4.7L V8.

No, it does not have suction on it while engine is running. To verify whether or not its clogged, remove the other side of it connected to air intake plenum below MAF sensor. Should not be clogged though. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I verified that the tube is not clogged. I can see daylight through the tube when I took it completely off the motor. When I was blowing into the tube, I was blowing into the air intake side with the other end still plugged into the drivers side valve cover. So the air was going into the drivers side valve cover and was building up pressure as I was blowing. Is that normal?

Yes thats normal. Paying attention to the pcv system regularly is normal for our engines. A lot of people put oil separators on the other side to stop the vapors from condensing inside the upper intake. The pcv line you were inspecting is the "outlet" as the pcv valve is the suction or "inlet". The air being pulled in thru your air intake helps ventilate oil crank case round n round.
Are you Seafoaming the system?

I'm not seafoaming it now. I was just doing regular maintenance when I noticed this. I seafoamed the motor a couple weeks ago through the brake booster line. The PCV line isn't a good choice for my girly's motor because it goes into the intake on one side, so the seafoam would only go into one side of the motor. The brake booster line, however, is really close to the throttle body, so it will get to all the cylinders.
