Default Compatibility question!!!

I was wondering the compatibility of a few parts... maybe someone knows lol... I am trying to get a new cluster... possibly even a Cobra or GT cause I hear they look better then the standard v6 clusters... and I was wondering what head light and tail lights are compatible with a 94? I like the look of the say 2001 tail lights (headlights all look the same to me) but I dont wanna pull em and pay for em if they wont fit. The cluster is also for a 94 btw.. thanks for your help!!

and also if I use a different cluster do I just pull the old one out and put the new one in? Or are there any components that need to be swapped out to ensure it works right?

forteh cluser, you need to have it recalibrated since the speedo is different. not sure if you have a PATs system or not.

for headlights, the only ones that will work are the 94-98 lights.

No I dont have PATS... so even if its a 94 Cobra cluster I have to get the speedo calibrated?

Correction:

V6 = 120 mph
GT = 150 mph
Cobra = 160 mph

They also have different peak RPM points too, and yes you'd have to get the thing recalibrated and I believe only Ford can do that.

Only Cobra clusters are white faced, GT and V6 are black faced. Cobra clusters also have SVT on them in red.

well I guess I wont be doing that as it is very expensive here to have it recalibrate. I do have one other question... my car has no switch for a rear defroster... Ive seen them on the panel behind the steering wheel under the cluster but the area Ive seen them at mine has a blank black piece of plastic... is there supposed to be a rear defroster there or did the 94s come optional with it? If its supposed to then how do I fix it? I live in FL and the humidity makes it impossible to see out of the windows early in the morning

The GT and Cobra models came with the rear defroster pre 99, 99+ all models have them. Not saying the V6 didn't come with them in certain packages but the standard nor premium packages had them (my 98 V6 was a premium package and didn't have one).
