Default AC Question... need help!

So my AC stopped blowing out of the vents on the dash. It now blows out of the defrost only. I read on here it could be a vacuum leak, but how do I trace it down.

I coppied the following quote from another thread on the same issue but im not really clear on where this area hes talking about it.

Thanks for all your help!

The leak is at the vacuum harness inside the engine bay. It's located in the back of the engine bay on the drivers side, should be about 4 or 5 hoses that plug into that little assembly. If one pops off it will cause the problem you're having.

Mine did the same thing. Turns out the smallest hose (I believe the bottom hose off the vacuume tree) had cracked due to age and had to be replaced. That hose runs across the firewall and into another unit on the pass side.

yea I got in the car the next day after I fixed the hose and it started working... maybe it just needed to build enough pressure for the solenoid to click? I dunno lol, my car is like a woman... temperamental!!!
