Do they do a sniffer test there or just visual and CEL check?

If no sniffer then you might want to gut the cats.

You can recycle your stock cats too, check to see how much they give for them there.
Be sure to let them know the rears are Large Ford, you get more money for them and a lot of places will say they are small Ford.

Seriously the only proper fix for your problem is to replace the damned cat. Don't ask for help if you aren't willing to accept the solution.

some places do, some don't a ton of uptight shops around here, i failed last month, they did a quick visual just kind of peeped under the car, tested gascap, then were checking codes, p1000 auto failed me, as far as i got.

yeah i was planning on taking them to potomac metals, said to go for around 80, didn't know about the large ford part though, thanks.

An gutting them isn't going to pass emissions unless you luck out on the way they do the test. Like I said there is only one PROPER solution to your problem.

Well if some use the sniffer then thats state law and gutting it wont pass for you.

You might want to look into if LT's are legal with high flows for you in your state, if they are then you might want to do that.
