Default exhaust headache

took the car out last night, drove 25 miles, drove the car 20 this morning, and about 11 this afternoon.

didn't push the car over 3k rpm, it didn't run like it used to but it still ran and i was able to maintain speeds without it dropping

get home, check the codes, p1000 is still there, and p0420 is back

how can i clear p1000?

i need to get rid of these codes so i can pass emissions and then throw my lts and o/r h on

left tail pipe is still loud, right tail pipe is still muffled.

I would guess you have a bad cat.

Yeah I've been pretty sure I do, how much damage am I doing to my car while running it on a bad cat?

Also how can I get around the codes situation, the p1000 appeared after I reset my tune

Replace the cat and the codes will go away.

Bad cats usually means that they are clogged which means less power and engine efficiency which can mean less mpg. Basically clogged cats means the car can't get the exhaust gases out as fast or efficiently. No real immidiate harm of clogged cats but I wouldn't run on them forever.

Mils are not gonna fix the fact the cats may be clogged. If its the sensor then just fix that.
