I'm considering buying a cat-back flowmaster exhaust but what is the one i need called? Is it Force II? and is it the same basic idea of getting a GT take-off and need the GT rear bumper, hangers etc.? AND PLEASE SOME1 explain what is meant by straight pipes/tru dual exhaust?

Default RE: Flows

ok lets start...

force II i believe is a quieter version of flowmasters the AMERICAN THUNDER KIT (made for GT's) has the 40 series flows...which is what you hear on stang 99% of the time when they say they have flowmasters. You would get a GT system and then cut off your Y pipe and run straight pipes to the kit you bought..making it TRUE DUAL EXHAUST

Your exhaust is like this (off headers, goes into one pipe..to one muffler...out one pipe)

>------O---- (stock with a Y pipe as you can see the "Y")

Get the dual exhaust from a GT and install it would CUT off the Y pipe and run STRAIGHT pipes to the mufflers

---------O-----
---------O-----

Kinda like that...those are TRUE DUAL EXHAUST

Keeping the YPipe and then splitting into 2 pipes is FAKE dual exhaust...as so

>----O--<

Hope this helps
