need help with body work
ya... so i was driving a friend home one night... and was backing out... and he failed to mention that there was a reasonably sized rock in the middle of the street that the landscape people dropped or sumethin... so i have myself a nice hole in my rear bumper... it's also kind of bent inwards a little... the whole thing is only about 8 inches long and 4 or 5 wide, but it still bugs me on my otherwise spotless stang. So my question to you is, since it's not too big, can i fix this myself with some bondo and paint over it in the area, or would i have to strip my entire bumper of paint and repaint and put clearcoat on the whole thing again. I don't want it to be perfect, because im installing a new bumper in a couple months, just something to cover up the damage. Any advice other than "don't back into rocks" would be really appreciated. Thanx guys
alright thanx, in my defense, it was out of my field of vision... and it was pitch black outside... and it was in a spot behind me that i couldn't see when looking back.
also speaking of painting and such, has anyone here repainted the interior pieces in a mustang? Specifically a 2001... i don't want to rice the whole thing out, just imho some things would look better black in my car than the stock grey color. Would it be possible to repaint these, but leaving the texture of the original, but also preferably so that the paint will not peel or chip off easily?
