I'm lucky .We have a guy that has been rebuilding alts for over 60 years. He yanked mine and rebuilt it while I sat there. Put better stuff in it too. Think my total was like $70. I've used him for different cars over the years. After he rebuilds them they never give me any more trouble. He even put a larger one on my Trans-Am when it needed one.
