port and polish is where you stick the intake and exhaust gaskets on the head then you mark the holes in the gasket onto the head, then you pull out the die grinder and grind away at the material inside the marks, after that's done you polish it up. well, that's what it is. I've heard it takes about 5 hours for an experienced person to do. yes it adds power, lets more air/fuel get in/out of the engine with less resistance. I've heard how much it adds before, but it's been a while

might be just cheaper to find a turbo and put on it from a merker or svo....you might be able to find a whole 8.8 rear with 4:10 for 300-500 bucks and would be a great upgread if your going to keep it awhile

turbo route would work good, but you have to limit it to 5psi unless you swap the turbo pistons in though, don't want to blow up your engine

thats why the smart choice is to do a whole motor and turbo swap

yeah, but going that route will cost over $1000 at the least

just to let you know, my future plan with my truck is to throw in a turbo 2.3 from a T-bird turbocoupe after I get enough money

that will not cost 1000 dollars. you can get a complete running turbocoupe for less than that, maybe about the same, maybe a little more...just depends on if you're at the right place at the right time. sell the body and NA 2.3 andthat minimizes costs even more
