Default Overheated even after new T stat install.. Help

I cant figure this out. I over heated today poppd the engine codes forget what it was. My ac went from ice cold to hot as hell. the guage was in the hot range. I put in a new t-stat. went for a driver and still over heating. I need help. I will check the fans in the am. But do these cars have a problem with this? Any help would be appreciated.

What is your water pressure/temp? When was the last time the coolant was flushed?

If it overheats when sitting at a light, then that suggests the fan isn't working or isn't working as well as it should... Flushing and refilling the coolant isn't a bad idea either, especially if it hasn't been doe in a couple years. Good luck...

The motor's on the fans in these car do go bad somewhat frequently. See if that is the issue.

Check if your fan is running right or check your coolant.

The AC makes the engine work harder, which makes it heat up, the fan should be on anytime the AC is running, if it isn't then that is your problem
