Default Emissions help

I tried to get my 2001 3.8 to pass emissions today, but two of the checks aren't yet complete because I had to unplug the battery to clean some sensors last week. The two checks are the Catalyst Sys Monitor and the Evap system monitor. The emissions place told me to drive it 60 miles and come back. I did that and they still weren't complete, so I went to Ford and ask them what the exact drive cycle is to reset it and he said to drive 20 miles at 60MPH. So I did that, and guess what? The checks are still incomplete. I hope one of you guys knows what I should do to get them to complete. Thanks in advance!

You'll need to get a couple of drive cycles logged. Sounds like you have had the battery disconnected recently.... would that be a correct guess?

Yeah, I unplugged the battery on Sunday to clean the IAC and the MAF. I thought that driving it everyday till Thursday would definitely be long enough, but I guess not.

I just smogged our DD corolla and had the same issue. The smog shop said you have to log 20- 30 miles of freeway driving(55+) to clear the not ready signal for the evap, cat, and o2 sensors. I put 80 miles on the Corolla and took it in, passed just fine. 300 bux for a single cat these days, WOW. )

Dang you are lucky! I used 3/4 of a tank yesterday and nothing changed. From one everyone I've talked to says it's like a sort of combination between speed and distance, but I just can't figure that combination out.
