Default Underdrive Pulleys

I am about to install 42% underdrive crank and waterpump pulleys. The question I have is...Do they effect the Alternator output enough to be concerned?

Not sure, do you have any other accessories on your car that already put strain on alternator and battery? I have a 25% pulley on my car and everything works fine.

nah.. it'll be fine. i know plenty of people with them on their cars who haven't had a problem in the years they've had em. you'll see your battery gauge drop when you get on the gas a bit but it'll go right back up. nothing to worry about.

AtlanticBlue has a 42% UDP and said he has no probs. They didn't have a 42% when I bought me 25%, but I didn't have to change any other pulleys. I'll have to get a 42% now...
...by the way everyone, I have a good deal on a 25% UDP.

i dont have a water pump pulley, but i have no charge/recharge problems with the 42% smaller crank pulley. it is billit aluminum, new harmonic balancer, and it weighs much less than stock.

You can eek out a few more ponies with the 42%. RPM has a kit that has a billet crank pulley, a water pump pulley and the correct [sm=gears.gif]Gatorback belt for $199.00[sm=gears.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif]

yea, 42% is smaller than the the 25% and gives some more of the lost hp back to the wheels. www.rpmoutlet.com has what you need. i didnt ge tthe waterpump pulley though, my kit had the goodyear gatorback belt to fit a 42% smaller crank pulley. i think i paid 130 for it all said and done.
