03 Auto trans to GT trans switch
#2
You can not do it.
BTW, you have a 4R70W too, just like the GT but your bellhousing is different.
(2004 GT and Mach 1 got the 4R75W)
So you already have the super strong trans that can handle over 500ftlbs of torque.
Gear ratio's are.
2.84 :1 2nd: 1.55 :1 3rd: 1.00 :1 4th: 0.70 :1 Rev: 2.23 :1

First off why do you need a stronger trans? Do you have FI, or someother power adders that require the upgrade? Also, aluminum driveshaft is not really needed and I would use the money for something else.

Are we talking rears or trannys here?
As far as trans, my stock one only took so many nitrous launches before it started ****ting on me.
Best things for the trans is a converter, external cooler, j-mod and a tune.
As far as the rear, you should be fine with stock 8.8 internals with whatever gear ratio you choose. I've only broken one 8.8 rear in my car, shattered the spider gears on a nitrous launch.
