I have a '96 Mustang. My CEL has been on for a few weeks now, and after getting it checked I was given the code 1443, which I've been means something is up with the purge flow sensor. This part doesn't seem to be carried anywhere that I've found.

Any recommendations as to where to find that part? Or should I be looking at something else?

I'm a complete novice when it comes to this world, so if I'm leaving any pertinent information out, please let me know and thanks ahead for any help.

 

P1443 -- Evaporative Emission Control System - Vacuum System - Purge Control Solenoid or Purge Control Valve fault

Have you tried calling your dealers parts department. They should be able to order you one. Its usually part of an assembly, so you may need to buy the entire canister instead of just the solenoid or valve.
