Default Removing Shifter...

Im hopeful to get a steeda Tri-axe shifter very soon and I was wondering how hard it is to pop out the little counsol type thing that is around the shifter to reach the tranny and where the shifter screws on??? Does it require tools to remove this counsol and if so which? Thanks.

First remove the shifter ball, then place your fingers between the rear of the boot and the plastic shifter console and pull upward. Then place your fingers between either side of the trim and the center console and pull the trim toward you.

It is threaded, and may have a jam nut on the underside that would need to be loosened.
