Default Help major engine prob

Ok this is my second time to post this unfortunatly.. So to the point i have a 93 2.3l 4 cyl and it used to get 20+ in city mpg and 28 on trips... with ac running. Now without ac i get 16-18 in town and 19 on trips.... major differnece obviously... on top of that a couple of other things... sometimes it has no power in first and second... and by none imean it acts like the engine is about to die and does some wierd herky jerky motion .... like im shifting wrong but im not... so thats something else it occasionally does.... the alst thing i jsut found was i cranked it up tured ac and music off and noticed it had a miss similar to a blown head gasket or cracked cyl...went to the tail pipe and it was blwoing black smoke.... just puffing it.... never noticed before.... sat back in it check gauges a few seconds later it cleared up and ran fine... no smoke ect... and the problem may have lasted a minute or two at most... so wtf is going on lol i changed to bausch platinum plus and wires 3.5k miles ago.... and it only started doing it maybe 2000 miles ago... so wtf am i missing lol... plealse tell me where to start.... i have differnet injectors if maybe one of them is fing up.... theywere sitting for awhile at one time.... about a year without use....PLEASE HELP ME>>>..... Thanks guys

Cant help you on anything else man....but the shifting part, you may think your shifting it right but it could be your not....Hold the clutch in until it cathes the gear then add more gas. Ive expirenced that slow, dead feeling in 1st and that, and from my experience it has been from letting the clutch out too fast and not enough gas. Balance it out. Good luck.

Ok let me clarify on the shifting problem.... i can over rev it to over 3.5k rpms and itll die back down like the engine is overbogged... my shifting is fine and to check it i over rev it when its pulling this crap ill let off the gas push the clutch then rev it up high almost like for a burn off and it will still do it.... so i dont think its my shifting their....
