Default Dyno Test

Ok, I had the U/D pulleys installed today. I noticed a definate diference. Before, I could not get straight line rubber. Now I can!
I made few phone calls, and found the ONLY chassis dyno in the county! It's in the next town over. Went there and ran the test. Numbers are pertty disapointing. He had to run the test in second gear, and said the rev limiter WAS a factor. Good news is, when I get the 3.73's and T-Lok, they will install for $250.0. PLUS if I bring them the Diablo, they'll make the necessary adjustments for optimal HP output for no extra charge! This shop builds race cars and engines. Made a new friend today! LOL
Like I said, the numbers are disapointing, but will get better. Oh, it's a Superflow Dyno.

162 HP. That's not bad for a stock V6 with a few bolt ons. I'm sure you can get those rear wheel numbers close to 200HP with extrude honing and head porting.

where did you get the pulleys? i could use a few more horses. to whoop some more ***.

oh, BTW, Booze. Extrude honing and porting are the same thing by different means. extrude honing is done by firing abrasive media through whatever is being ported to port it, and regular old porting is done by hand or CNC machine. and doing it by hand is a BITCH. trust me

actually those numbers seem a bit low considering you have pulleys...im guessing its an auto that with a 17% drive train loss you are pulling about 160 stock to the wheels, pulleys alone should have bumped you to at least 168??? hmmm was it hot and humid that day? All i know is that with a cam, ported heads and ported upp/lwr manifolds you should make 200+

They had to do it in 2nd gear, and the rev limiter interfered. He said it wanted to keep going, but the limiter wouldn't let it.

damn rev limeter. with better valve springs you can wind that thing out to around 7000 rpms and still be good, i know, i've seen me do it.
