I got my 04 a few months ago as an inheritance...

I love the car but it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles...

When I manually open the door, or unlock the doors using the remote, no interior lights come on. Is it possible that the car was bought without some option? Or do I have issues...

Also the headlight switch turns to dim the dash lights... But if you turn it far enough it clicks... Are the overhead lights supposed to come on?

The regular overhead light switches work fine...

 

When the doors open, the dome light (assuming it a coupe. The mirror lights come on on the vert) should be coming on.

The light switch is built below:
Pull it out - Headlights come on along with interior cluster/hvac lights
Turn to the right - Dim the cluster/hvac lights
Turn to the left - brighten the cluster/hvac lights
Turn/Click to the left - Turn on the Dome lights (mirror lights on the vert)

 

Have you checked to see if the dome light bulb has burnt out?

The switches on the roof are for map lights (different bulbs in the same housing).

The dome light is controlled by the door switches, light **** or remote unlock system.

I checked the fuse and it's ok... so I figured it was wiring...

You may have saved me a lot of head scratching

 

Belairbrian, thanks for your input... I didn't even realize there is a 3rd bulb...

When I checked it, it had been removed... Got a new one and now I have lights...
