Default 1995 mustang 4-ways/turn signal/break light problem. NEED HELP!!

ok so heres my problem, at one paint all of my lights worked perfectly then one day my left turn signal didn't flash anymore which was weird then all of a sudden none of my lights worked any more except my head lights so i checked the fuse box and the fuse was blown but every time i put a new fuse in it blows right away . my running lights work and everything but i have no breaks or turn signals. any ideas on how to fix this?? any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a wire might have rubbed a naked spot in it and it's grounding out. Since it was the left turn that messed up first i'd check the wires to that. Might just not be plugged in good.

Have you taken the covers off the steering column and taken a good look in there?

Fuses only blow when a circuit is overloaded, And in a light circuit that usually means a bad wire.

I've had a Ford SUV display similar symptoms where the wires were damaged form adjusting the tilt wheel over time.

No, I was asking had you taken the steering column apart to look for wiring problems. Lots of rub spots in there.

I'd guess you have rust in one of the light sockets, have you checked the side marker lights? We have that prob in WI sometimes. I'd check every light you can to see what they look like.
Has anyone added anything non factory, like an alarm, remote start, radio, trailer hitch? Might want pull the mat out of the trunk and see if there are any loose wires under it.

Its the multiswitch, I replaced mine when I had the same problem in my 95'.

You can find them used all over and new from different stores to the dealer.

Check your prices first so you dont spend too much.

Its an easy job and takes about 10 minutes.
